Eligibility: The contest is open to the public

How to Enter the Contest:

Your photo must meet the requirements

• 1800 x 1200 pixels (minimum size)
• Black & White or Colour
• Electronic format only (.jpg, .raw, .tif)
• 300 dpi resolution

The entry:

• must be an original photo that was taken for the purpose of this contest
• must not be a photo that has been copied or reproduced from a third party source
• must be related to this year's event, "Winter White." i.e.: snow carving, winter activities, winter scenery. Subject matter must be within Saskatoon's South Saskatchewan River Valley.

Steps to submit your entry form and photo:

1. Click here for Entry Form.
2. All fields must be completed on the Entry Form. Incomplete entry forms will be disqualified.
3. A maximum of 3 photos only per competitor may be submitted.
4. If submitting by email, attach the photo when submitting Entry/Relase Form responses by email. If submitting by snail-mail enclose a digital copy of your photo with your Entry/Release Form.
5. You must agree to the terms of the Release Form.

Student Book Collection Contest 2008

Type: Collection Contest

Eligibility: Contestants must be enrolled full or part time at the University of Minnesota.

Deadline: March 5, 2008

How to Enter the Contest:

Entries must include an annotated bibliography of 25 or more titles, an essay about the collection (max of 1500 words), and an entry form. Collections must consist of at least twenty-five titles collected and owned by the student. Collections may be defined in any meaningful way. Collections need not consist exclusively of rare or hardcover books. They may contain paperbacks, maps, manuscripts, or other materials.

Salomon Snowboards Artwork Contest 2008

Type: Artwork Contest

Eligibility: Any individual or group, professional or student and over 18 years of age, from any design field, from anywhere in the world except where prohibited by local laws, may enter the competition.

Deadline: February 29th, 2008

How to Enter the Contest:

Participants are requested to develop one or more designs with a maximum of three designs per individual or group connected to the universe of one of our targets, free of theme. The design documents are to consist of the following 2 elements:

• your original Works (Jpeg RVB 150 dpi, 21 X 14,9 cm, scale 1/2): High resolution
• your copy works (72 dpi, for upload)

Authorship and explanation of ideas:

Purpose of proposal : A brief description of your work and explanation your chosen subject (which target?, why this mood?…) within 100 words (English or French) and a declaration of authorship included in the registration form.

As final files are usually too big to send via e-mail, you will be asked to upload the file directly on our ftp server.

Prizes: Prize money is 4.500 euros split between the 5 winning entries.

Great American Baby Photo Contest

Type: Photo Contest

Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, residing in the United States and the District of Columbia, who are (a) 18 years of age or older and (b) the parent or legal guardian of a child that is between 0-48 months of age at the time of entering the Contest.

Deadline: Last day of every month.

How to Enter the Contest: Go online to Great American Website and complete the registration form. Provide all requested information in the fields contained in the entry form in its entirety, including your full name, postal address, phone number, email address (where available), age and gender of the baby that is the subject of the photograph and your relationship to the baby, submit the entry form, and upload up to six current photographs of your child. Submitted photographs may not be digitally, or otherwise, altered. Any winning photograph found to be altered will be disqualified from winning. Entrant must be the owner of the photograph, or otherwise have the right to submit the photograph for consideration in the Contest. Online entries will be accepted on a monthly basis beginning February 1, 2008. All entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. EST on the last day of the month in order to be eligible to win the Contest

2008 Wabash Prize for Fiction

Type: Writing Contest

How to Enter the Contest: Submit one story or collection of related short shorts per standard entry. Please do not send excerpts or chapters of novels. Entries may be no more than 10,000 words. All entries must be typed and must include a cover letter with author's name and contact information (address, telephone, and email address) as well as the titles and word counts of all entries submitted. The author’s name may not be on the manuscript itself. Manuscript pages should be numbered and should include the title of the piece. Work should be double spaced.

Poetry Center Prizes - First Book Competition & Open Competition

Type: Poetry Contest

Eligibility: Mss. are eligible for the First Book competition if the author has not published or commited to publish a collection of his or her poetry in a book of 48 more pages with a press run of at least 500 copies. Entry to the Open Competition is limited to authors who have published at least one full-length poetry collection

Deadline and reading fee: March 1, 2008. 25$

How to Enter the Contest:

• ms. should contain a minimum of 48 pages of poetry
• ms. pages should be numbered and a table of contents included
• include one cover page with title, your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address
• your name should not appear anywhere else on the ms.
• include a second cover page containing only title
• clearly indicate on the outside of the mailing envelope and on each cover page “First Book” or “Open Competition” (see Eligibility)
• do not include a cover letter or biographical information
• include an acknowledgements page, listing any previously published books or poems, if applicable
• check or money order payable to Cleveland State University
